NEV – Neighborhood Electrics

There are vehicles you can buy for short run – low speed trips. A specific category has been assigned for these cars — they are called Neighborhood Electric Vehicles.

These cars are designed to be low cost and are regulated to have a top speed of 25mph. They all plug in to a regular household outlet and have a range of 30 to 60 miles on a charge. Some of them are like what we have seen on golf courses for a long time, but others have more style, comfort and safety features.
